Palmeiro Busted!!!

Is this really a surprise? Did you really believe him when he went before Congress and swore he never used performance enhancing drugs? I bet he is really sorry now that he got caught and it may keep him out of the hall of fame. This just goes to show you that lying never does anyone any good. I hope the MLB has a harsh penalty for him. Also this just goes to show you that almost everyone in the league cheats, except for my beloved Cubs.... ah awkward silence...... You guys don't happen to remember a guy named Sammy Sosa, Mr. Corked Bat. Oh, well as the old saying goes, if your not cheating your not trying, right, right, anyone!!! Palmeiro story here.

So any player that has a good record, whether juiced up or not should be allowed in the Hall of Fame. That is a great example for our young people...take juice and you too can be a hall of famer. I am not trying to be harsh, but cheating in sports has got to stop. It hurts the player, the team, and most of all the fans.

How do you "unknowingly" ingest a steroid? Someone slipped it into my drink when I wasn't looking... i thought it was candy... i thought it was lotion (for the rub-on stuff like Bonds used). I thought it was orange juice, not THE juice...

I gave up on baseball several years ago. Part of it came from spending the majority of my summers in europe and not seeing any baseball (now I prefer soccer). Corked bats, Bonds' body armor, no pitching allowed inside so guys crowd the plate, juiced balls, widened strike zones, guys not practicing their hitting anymore, everyone going for "bat speed" instead of contact, it all did me in. Sosa and Bonds' homerun derby was all that brought me back from the previous labor strike. Now that I know it was fake, I just don't care.

Send Palmeiro to the Hall. He's already damaged his reputation and his body (brain) so much by the juice (whether knowingly or unknowingly ingesting) that it won't matter. I know I won't be taking my grandkids to see that place anyway.

Cheating has been going on in professional sports for decades and will continue to happen regardless of rules and penalties. Man loves to cheat and gain an edge on opponents. As long as it doesn't get too ugly, I'm ok with it.
